I have discussed Lucha House Party before, and it seems as though the WWE signed three great talents but had no clue what to actually do with them. They put them together, which is okay, temporarily introduced Lucha House Rules where they got to take on tag teams 3-on-2, which was less okay, and they occasionally bring it back as it seems like the three of them are currently challenging Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro. In all fairness, them being at a numbers disadvantage should be the only way that tag team could lose.
But today is not about the trio, only Kalisto. Kalisto seems to be the easiest guy to find a successful path forward. Admittedly, the WWE had this idea earlier in his career but abandoned it in favor of LHP. Just make him your new Rey Mysterio. Small high flyer who can do ridiculously cool things while always being the underdog will never go out of style.
And that's the real beauty of a guy like Kalisto. You can treat him like a jobber for days, weeks, months, years even, because when he steps into any ring, he's automatically the underdog. But all it takes it that one massive upset, and you can buy into the momentum of the fans getting behind him and turning him into a star. Masked guys are great at selling merchandise to little kids and nobody is better designed to do that than Kalisto.
There is no need to reinvent the wheel when a Rey of sunshine can show you the way.
